CPN operates a Council-based governance framework established by law. Its leadership structure combines strategic oversight, professional regulation, and day-to-day administrative execution through the Governing Council and the Secretariat.

Governance Framework

The Governing Council and Secretariat

The Governing Council is the highest decision-making body of CPN. It is responsible for policy formulation, regulation of IT practice, strategic direction, oversight, and the enforcement of professional standards across the computing profession in Nigeria.

The Secretariat serves as the administrative arm of the Council and is led by the Registrar / Secretary to Council. It handles implementation of Council decisions, administration, coordination, membership registration, records management, and stakeholder communication.
